Coached practices are held daily at indoor pools in fall and winter and most days at outdoor pools in the summer across Montgomery County, Maryland. Practices are in the evenings on weekdays and mornings on weekends.

Lanes are arranged to accommodate all levels of skills and speeds. The team’s only joining requirement is that a candidate must be able to swim freestyle. Practice times range from one to two hours, and swim distances vary and can range from 2,000 to more than 5,000 meters.
